I like the lore you ended up at a lot! Yeah I always disliked the secrecy thing you talked about and I think you explained the issues pretty sysinctly.

I actually can't solve these riddles T 0 T. But I think if I was a player I would have a lot of fun figuring them out with other ppl. Riddle sites are so funny to me like most of the riddles are either dad jokes or like "I am smaller then a quarter and brown" and it's like a lot of things are like that???

I don't have any insight to give, but I like reading the updates about stuff!

The bed of no sleep where the mouth does not eat is referring to the mouth of a river meeting a lakebed. It's the first one they of these they encounter, and I'm okay if it takes them a while to solve it since there's other things happening at the start of the game to take their attention.

There is additional context that "what occurs twice everyday, but only once today, and not at all tomorrow?" and "what's middle is after its end and before its start?" are found in the library's eldritch stacks, and revealed with a cipher that's key is "book", and that priming is related to the answers to these riddles.

Also I think I have all four puzzles that reveal the lockbox's combination!
  • On Earth, there's a sprawling cave by the lake that can be navigated by a path hidden in a nonogram, at the marked room there's a box with the first two letters
  • In The Other World, there's a letter path puzzle hidden... somewhere... that directly gives the third letter.
  • In the library's stacks, there's a knights and knaves puzzle hidden in a book that directly gives the forth letter.
  • In the depths of the abandoned walmart, there's a zebra puzzle style logic puzzle, location also tbd, that leads to the location of graffiti on a shelf of the final two letters.
So right now I need to decide where the puzzles in the other world and the walmart are hidden, and I need to make riddles to hint the players on where to look.

I'm thinking the other world has a shadowey version of the town, and I can just hide the puzzle in one of the buildings.

The walmart I'm thinking it's going to be someplace really weird, because I like the idea of an abandoned walmart hell dimension to have like. A large natural feature like a forest or lake or some shit in the middle of it. Possibly an area that's swampy and overtaken by mushrooms? I think having the concrete floors start to squish under you would be the right vibes for this place.

Ahhh yeah that sounds like a creepy sensory but experience!!! Especially in a Walmart!!! I think adding some strange creatures could be interesting too!
