seven day work event is crazy, that is way too long to only be in the company of The Company. i like my team at work but i'm tired from being at the office half a day. i mean i was already tired. i had man dentist fingers in my mouth at like 8am. So that was cool. anyway i'm asleep

what kind of pillow do you use that isn't a normal pillow?

essentially a throw pillow lmao
i just get so uncomfortable with pillows that don't hold anything, my head needs support not to sink into a prison of pillow
that and the standard pillow size is so large it never sits where i want it without squishing out or back into my neck choking me

7 day event is crazy though, every time they come up i am full of untargeted hate half way through

this morning im feeling ok but i know I'll crash soon cause i slept like shit lmao

hope y'all are doing better :3

"every time"?? this happens on multiple occasions?? i have never in my eight year career as a computer scientist even gone on a business trip at all. although my new team has told me that I might end up visiting a data center at some point. but like that's not likely to be seven days long.

I slept better than I did the night before but I'm still pretty sleepy. I gotta go to the office wahhhh. the office isn't even randomized. what's the poaint of going to a place when you know the doors are gonna open the same way they usually do.

Holy shit, I'm with Star on this one, recurring seven day work functions would make me conspire to murder my boss. Especially since I too have trouble sleeping in strange new beds. May the week go quickly for you.

its a quarterly-ish meeting for the industry, though not all are in person
they still drag on for a little too long though

Good morning everyone! The news of the day is that qwint has been MET in person! And I broke their video game! :smugne:

I'm pretty sleepy but it's a work from home day sooooo that pretty much means I'm implementing randomizer features :)

Good [checks time] afternoon by seven minutes!

Today is a non-work day which means I'm sitting in a coffeeshop (not Spacedeer, a smaller chain), watching the rain out the window, waiting for my mom to get here (we're getting coffee together :D), and trying to puzzle out what path I'm taking with my D&D character, who just leveled up enough to reach the subclass-analogue in my homebrewed-system Saturday Night Game. The options are, more or less, "[stonks meme voice] Stelth", "Big Jump Attack", or "ARSON >:D". Given it's a fire-dragonborn rogue who is one of the only frontline fighters in the party, I'm torn between options lol. But it's a good problem to have.

The rain also changed from "light drizzle" to "pouring deluge" while typing this, which is another fun problem to have. At least I remembered to bring my umbrella this time...
