Good morning! this was a great morning (woke up to a ping message asking me to explain why I think jokes at the expense of people with dementia are not acceptable). my arms hurty a lot but talking on the Fourm with my friends is fun

. that being said I do think I will take a walk now!
the orphanage museum sounds interesting! i'm personally not a museum person unless it's something i'm really interested in (also I love planetariums even though I'm not necessarily as into space as tooth is) but it sounds cool to learn stuff and see old documents! also dang yeah lol "hello kids we are going to the orphanage museum and if you're not good then maybe we'll leave you here".

Also one thing that was sort of darkly funny to me was they had a lot of those fun fact plaques for kids visiting the museum which?? I don't think this is where I'd take a kid if I had one lol, they were really struggling for 'fun kid facts' in this museum
This is pretty funny not going to lie T 0 T. But also, as a child I loved musical like Annie and Oliver twist and I think I would have liked going to this museum. I think children are interested in the macab especially when it relates to our her children. But yeah it's probably not the first choice lmao.
ALSO AHSHEREFH IF YOUR BAD WE KEAVE YOU HERE IM CRYUNG

Good morning! Last night I slept okay. Stayed up perhaps a little too late again watching Gossip Girl. But I'm invested in the story!! Lily's doctor ex-husband came back out of nowhere because he was treating her cancer and a woman accused her current husband Rufus of cheating on her but then their drug-dealing daughter tried selling Lily's oxy and her client told her it was really ivermectin (seriously) and that's how they found out that Lily didn't really have cancer and her ex-husband was trying to use this to be a hero to get back into the family and that the other woman (who was secretly the one prescribing the pills) was in on it.
I want to post more stuff on the forum but I've been feeling pretty bad the past few days... Hopefully I can be more talkative!

HONESTLY I'M SO INVESTED! Something I think the show does well is that when there is a multi-episode arc like this, it builds up to something big gradually, and when it it gets interesting enough that you have to know how it gets resolved, they go ahead and resolve it without you have to wait like 4 more episodes. It's also cool when they can keep me guessing about what's actually going to happen. It's like how the first two seasons of Ugly Betty were very dense and dramatic and there was a lot of stuff going on that I couldn't quite guess, and then the later two seasons were way more formulaic and guessable and lacking trans women. I feel like Gossip Girl is doing a good job at being dense with dramatic stuff and at making me change my mind about what I think is going to happen, and even if I end up being right, it feels satisfying to be right rather than tedious. There WAS one episode recently that was SUPER uncomfortable though where Jenny's ex-friend literally roofied her and dropped her off at a stranger's bachelor party, like what in the absolute hell is going on here. She was fine but jeez, that's certainly a choice. Right now I'm quite interested in why this girl that Nate is dating seems to hate Serena so much.

Ah yeah stuff with Jenny is handled a bit weird. I loved her character as a kid, but :/. Also in general gossip girl kind of treats SA and SH weird. Like it kind of glorifies it as like "if you are pretty and cool then this kind of thing can happen to you!" and then if you want to be pretty and cool then this must be something that should happen to me. Granted, I was probably under the age rating when watching it though lol

Good morning!
yeah Jenny's character is so complicated like I feel bad because she shows up in the first episode and she's such a Good Girl TM and immediately gets SA'd by a main character which was scary, and then after that she progressively makes worse and worse decisions like becoming bitchier at school, lying to her parents, skipping school, running away from home, trying to get emancipated, selling drugs, etc, and I'm like,

((((((((((, like it's uncomfortable watching her go down such a bad path. I think a lot of the decisions she makes are understandable considering her youth and the terrible influences around her but it's sad because like what if things had turned out differently for her!
I was like 14 when I first watched it but again I think I did not internalize any of it at all, my mind would get distracted immediately and just think about computers or Lady Gaga, but I was like I need to watch this so my cool cousin thinks I'm cool.
EDIT: ALSO I realized when I was talking to my mom yesterday that this is now three shows in a row that I've watched starring one of the main actors from Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (Alexis Bledel from Gilmore Girls, America Ferreira from Ugly Betty, and Blake Lively from Gossip Girl). The movie is haunting me.

Back home from London! I have quite liked going on my own to places like Liverpool and Cardiff, it's p chill and I can do stuff at my own pace. Went to the British museum yesterday which was pretty cool even if 99% of its stuff is stolen and I spent two hours wandering around then went back to my hotel because my feet hurt.
I did some other small stuff after that but I get exhausted when I'm on a group holiday and they have to Make the Most of Every Moment, it's like I came here to relax lol

dang it sucks you went to a museum where everything was stolen, I guess all the shelves and exhibits were empty then? so it was just a big empty room?
