Would anyone have any interest in doing a play by post game of the RPG
Twilight Song? I already own the game, there's two PDFs needed to play,
a rules document and
a reference document. I've played part of a game before, and it's pretty simple as far as RPGs go.
The premise is that the group controls a single character and develops them through gameplay, that character being an immortal entity living among mortal humans during a quiet pastoral time that is humanity's twilight era. Gameplay focuses on the narrators interactions with a town, developing the town itself, its inhabitance, and the world around it through collaboratively.
Obviously Alcor could be a fun narrator, but we could also develop new depending on how we're feeling.
The first thing that needs to happen is making a map, and that might make more sense to do in real time in a drawpile session, but after that I think it would work very well for async playing. The one complication I can see is that the RNG is a deck of cards we share, sorted into suits, and the fact that there's only 13 cards per suit is important.
What's other people's thoughts on this? Any interest? Any ideas?

Roleplaying a la DND stresses me out, but from a scan of the linked page this seems kinda interesting!

I've played it before, it's nothing like DnD outside of the fact you're telling a story in a group. I don't know what stresses you out about DnD, but I think this is closer to the writing a fic a paragraph at a time game you started then a traditional dungeon crawler game.
The general game play is that each round, every player takes a turn where they draw a card that corresponds to (normally) one of two story prompts, that take the form of questions. They pick one of the prompts and answer the question, getting input from other players if they're stuck or simply want to. You can then choose to act on a plan or an established routine which is just another little prompt for you to do, and finally take an action, aka choosing between Opening Your Senses and describing a sensory experience the narrator has, Listening to People in which case you ask a question that the other players answer from the perspective of non-narrator characters, Learning Something, where you write a little to establish something the narrator learns about the world, or Making a Plan, which is exactly what it sounds like.
It's a very gentle game, nothing truly bad happens to the narrator unless the players decide it should. Should we decide to play, we would start with a convo about what tone we wanted.

I'd be interested as well! How long would it be though? I might be bad with keeping up with it :/

It lasts at most 52 turns, once you're out of cards the game is over. I believe it can be shorter then that, depending on what choices you make, but that's the upper cap. As for how long that would last real world time, it would depend on how fast we were playing. I would expect, in a forum of this size, a couple turns per day, but it's hard to be sure until we try. I would guess the game would take a couple weeks to a month to play out in full?
I was thinking that, to make async play work better, we would make sure everyone playing got a turn each round but we wouldn't care about turn order - so round one could be in the order of me, Star, you, someone else, and then round two could be you, me, someone else, and then Star.
If you're interested but worried you'd miss things, someone could poke you outside the fourm.
It's also a game that can be bowed out of without a problem (or entered mid-game) if you find that you're not interested after we try it.
