Good morning!

Post by hatkirby »

It's the quintessential good morning thread! I like how we say good morning in the chat, so why not have a place over here to do it too? It's nice to check in with one another.

I slept okay last night, although I've clearly woken up a tad early (it is before 6am rn). I think the constant rain is messing with me. No I'm not sleeping outside, there's just a big gray raincloud above my bed and it's pouring water into my gaping mouth (and my bed has a plaque on it that says whore).

How are yalls?

I'm doing good! The rain over here finally let out, so I biked to work! It went better then I thought it would, I was pretty concerned about the distance since I haven't had any long bike rides in a while, but it was only about 45 minutes, which is also how long the bus takes, so I'm not even losing any time! Showering did make me later to get to my desk then normal, but I was thinking it'd take me over an hour and I'd be way more tired, so I'm counting this as a win!

I feel you on the rain sleep thing. I'm such a light sleeper, rain makes it so hard for me to get good sleep.

Holy hay biking 45 minutes to work. If I dare walk to work it only takes like 25-30 minutes and I'm usually sweaty and winded. You probably can't even listen to music because you have to focus on the cars and the elements (or Mendelev will get you). So your morning commute sounds pretty intense. Gg!

I got to my desk (by which I mean to a kitchenette bc I haven't been to my desk in a While) a little late too because i was Sleepy and Tired and Watching Gossip Girl this morning but I didn't get arrested for being late so that's good and okay. Also it turns out I unintentionally got to skip a meeting yesterday because of taking the day off so that's a pog moment (<- is pretending that the things that get discussed at meetings don't need to get discussed anyway).

I hope you have a good workday!

I do listen to music while I bike. There's either bikepaths, which don't have cars at all, or bike lanes, which are generally pretty safe, the whole ride, so it doesn't seem like to big a risk. I'm pretty much always listening to music, so it's not to distracting unless I put on something unusual.

When I worked at the toxicology lab, it was an hour of bussing and a half hour of walking each way if I wanted to bus, or a forty minute bike ride, so I historically was pretty used to bike rides this long. I'm not as in shape as I was back then, but that just gives me hope that I'll be able to cut down some of the time as I get used to it again. It'd be cool if I could do the ride in half an hour. Mostly I'm just excited to not have to worry about matching the buses schedule, it only comes ever half an hour and that can be really awkward when I'm leaving.

Hell yeah skipping meetings.

I hope you have a nice workday too!

Good morning!

I actually got to bed at an okay time last night. I took my meds when my alarm went off (10pm), got in bed like half an hour later, and only watched one episode of Gossip Girl because turning the lights off. But then I kinda slept on and off. I fell asleep for like half an hour and then woke up, then fell back to sleep quickly (and had a dream that Ren was really angry at someone online) and woke up at like 5am, and then took like half an hour to fall back asleep before waking up at my "eat breakfast" alarm at 8:45. And I felt more tired each time I woke up. I'm currently at the office but I feel a bit as if I was hit by a bus. (Isn't it crazy that no one's trying to save me 🎶)

BUT! It's Friday! So that's good. I have a couple of things I know I should do today at work, and then after work I'm getting groceries which is always great because then I have tasty food. And then maybe some fun stuff will happen this weekend.

One day your quality sleep will come......

Friday is good, as is food.

Between my alarms (I have multiple because one isn't enough to get me up) I was dreaming about trying to post images in the fourm, for some reason? It was one of those dreams where things aren't working because it's a dream but you can't figure out why its not working because it's a simple task and you're doing it right. Fun times.

It's code cutoff for this sprint today, and I pretty much wrapped up all the issues I was working on so it's gonna be a quiet day for me. I'm probably gonna sneak some time to work on The End Times, like an evil little employee. :penis:

Yesssss The Fourm is infecting your dreams! Soon I will achieve total world domination! Or at least total bee domination.

Friday is good because I just remembered I like to get a hot chocolate on Fridays, so I got that and it's tasty.

Hell yeah be a bad employee! Take back some of your time for yourself! We contract ourselves to employment for survival's sake but we deserve more!

Good afternoon :penis:
You humor me greatly with your arrogance and contempt, a flood of accusations born from the poison of envy and smite of disrespect. I feel both disappointment and flattery these thoughts would originate from another player who has demonstrated one of a kind talent and has accomplished the impossible, yet is immune from judgment owing to their reputation, do not think your words hold more credibility just because of who you are, being more well known and what you have accomplished in breaking world records and setting ones never previously accomplished. With that being said I will divulge my thoughts on the serious accusations you have set forth.

I won't address the individual gameplay scenarios you've highlighted, as the foundation of your argument arises from jealously, this is clear when you contrast my success with your failure, being deluded into thinking you should have surpassed these trials yet cannot comprehend how someone else can claim victory consistently,
