Here's an evergreen thread for updates to The Fourm! We're still getting set up, so there's naturally going to be a bunch of these for a while.
Stuff I've done today:
Added this board, for topics about Four Island / The Fourm.
Added an extension that allows spoiler tagging. It's currently broken on the dark mode of the damaio theme (although I'm not sure anyone but me is using this, since prosilver is the default) because the text and background are both white. Will fix this.
Added an extension that allows you to mention people. This adds an item to someone's notification dropdown, but they won't get a push notification unless they enable it in their notification preferences. I'd recommend not overdoing the mentions; they're probably best for drawing someone's attention to a thread they haven't seen before.
This was technically yesterday, but I added an extension that parses URLs in posts and turns them into OpenGraph embeds if possible. We'll see if this is actually nice or whether it's annoying and should be turned off. The main reason I added it was for AO3 embeds and it turns out they don't have OGP tags anyway so that's a bust.

I've added a new subforum, "Random Chatter", which can be used for more fast-paced conversation that doesn't have to be as organized as the rest of the Fourm. Your post count won't increment in this subforum, and it also won't send notifications to the Discord server (to prevent it from potentially getting spammed, if the post volume is higher). I hope this can help acclimatize people who may not be as familiar with forum-style conversation!
