Thinking about getting a pink original chunky DS since I've found some pretty cheap listings, but not sure if I actually need it or just think it's cute lmao. I've been having my thumb and wrist get tired while playing games recently so I think the original DS might help with that if I want to play GBA or DS games, but idk if that's just an excuse cause I want a cute DS LOL!
Also I found a copy of Lux Pain for like $5 a few weeks ago! It's one of the few US localized Visual Novels released for the DS (although I've heard the localization leaves mush to be desired lol). It also has a cool aesthetic.

also the meeting went well! introduced myself to my new team lead and vice versa, and I have a meeting tomorrow with the other person on our subteam and he'll get me ramped up on the codebase, I'm looking forward to starting to be productive but also I'm just overwhelmed talking to humans at all. it's going to be okay :praying:

Omg Star your fic T 0 T, idk how much of the lore is actually in the game vs what you added, but I like the way stuff is communicated in an abstract way!
Speaking of pokemon, made it to victory road in fire red! My average pokemon level is 40 so we will see how I do but also I honestly moped the floor with my rival and his level 53 Blastoise. So I think I'll be ok? I honestly felt kind of bad for my rival b/c the battle ended w/ most of my pokemon at full health and no one in the red. I think I said "oh man this is really embarrassing for him"

Some of the lore is real and some of it is stuff I expanded on! We really don't know much about Ogerpon's friend from the past, only that he got killed by the Loyal Three, and in the fic I put a lot of focus on his relationship with her. And of course the whole thing with her face stealing ppls souls is not real.
Good luck on victory road! I think the trainers on average are gonna be slightly higher than you, and then the elite four is gonna be worse. You can do it though! also hell yeah embarrass Blue. he deserves it.

Oh yeah that happens. Ogerpon for real kills the Loyal Three as well, although not with soul stealing powers, and they get magically brought back to life a few hundred years later. Pokemon is so good at tone whiplash
