So I got Dazai's good end and it was pretty not good? They end up on a half finished boat and row away to probably die basically. And I do kind of like that theoretically, but the game tries to make it romantic??? Like in a way where it's still kind of dark since it's a horror, but...

Ok so even though I dislike the trope of "protagonist ends up with abusive love interest who's 'changed'" I think it can be interesting in horror media. This happens in Harada stories a lot. But the thing is for it to work it the abuser needs to be taken out of the position of power? Like Harada's work usually has the love interest go through extreme phycological/physical torture so that they are kind of mentally broken afterwards so it's like... yeah sure I guess they are not really capable of abuse anymore or at least not in the same way.

The bad end was a lot longer then I thought it would be which I did enjoy! I wouldn't say it was that good, cause they went with the standard "Dazai goes on crazy murder spree!" ending. But I think Azuma's emotions are more interesting in this one. Also he gets to kill Dazai at the end.

talk of Azuma's abuse

Azuma has a lot of traumatic memories of people straddling him to beating him (not just Dazai but also his parents). So when he straddles Dazai to kill him he thinks to himself "So this is what the view is like from up here. It's not special." Which did kinda make my stomach drop. Like all the years of abuse as a child only to end up in the same situation as an adult, but because he's an adult he can actually fight back, but of course it doesn't feel like anything other than doing what's necessary.

Anyway, I feel bad for calling this dude Dazai because he's so awful but I realized too late lmao. Sorry Dazai (from charade maniacs).

It was VERY scary and well written, but I don't think they committed enough to Dazai's abusive behavior in either ending and went with the "he got crazy" route. Which is not very scary.

So there was a second bad end! This one was short, but VERY scary. The thing that really stuck out was the last scene. Azuma is dieing this time and Dazai is talking to him as he dies and Azuma's like "its like he's talking to a pet who's dieing" which sent a shiver down my spine!!! THATS SI MESSED UP!!!

I think this one fit the best as an ending to Dazai's route but it was short and didn't explore the characters as much as the other endings.

So it doesn't change his Yaoi Grade, but I did like it a lot!

Ok so I've been introduced to the men. None are particularly interesting to me, but I'm more interested in this story for the depravity.

Ok so there is one man I didn't introduce cause I thought he was just a side character, but he gets his own sex scene and ending so I'll give him a Yaoi Grade.


This is Shimada. He loves photography, but most of all he loves taking pictures of dead bodies so, he's having a great vacation!

His ending was fine. I think they missed an opportunity to explore his character more because his strange interests and kinks were cool. But they went with the "It's because he's a depraved homo!" route rather then exploring his personality and motives more.

You have sexy sex on drugs but yaoi always portrays sex on drugs as evil and malicious and this is no exception. The first scene is not consensual but even in a later scene where it is the story is like "it's evil sex because Azuma is aADICTED TO DEUGS NOW"

Mitsugi
This dude fucking hates you and IDK why cause he has NO beef with any of the other characters so far > A < he and the protagonist have a "enemies but in a fruity way" thing going on.

OK so I started Mistugi's route and I'm about a quarter of the way in. He just gets... meaner and meaner to you. Like he is straight up bullying you, like he pushes you into the swap and you almost drown and he laughs at you and then pushes you in again... also he's really... classist... where he's like "Azuma you are working class so you are basically my work horse." He also CONSTANTLY negs you. To the point where he's legitimately very annoying.

He clearly has some thing for Azuma because he started blushing when Azuma was standing too close, but like... he also legitimately hates him... like he is a mess and he is making it my problem...

Even though Mistugi is very awful, it feels so RELIEVING to not be on Dazai's route anymore. He was so legit scarry and unpredictable and even on this route when I see or hear Dazai I'm like GET AWAY FROM YOU FUCK!

Anyway Mistugi asked Azuma to go into the woods to chop down a tree, but he fell asleep (from being overworked and lack of sleep) and then Mistugi tied him up and started stepping on his penis. And I am like "ok... is he... still supposted to cut down the tree after this????"

Finished his route! I actually really liked it! Mitsugi channels his bastard energy into dicking down Azuma GOOD. Mitsugi is undressing at some point (not fit sex reasons) and Azuma starts CRYING HE NEEDS MITSUGI'S BODY SO BAD. They come to understand each other (and cum to understand) and legitimately form a really meaningful (and sexy) connection! I even felt emotional when they were talking about their future together at the end.

Also this route was fucking scary dhdhsgsgdggf. There was a scary diary that mistugi found about everyone dying one by one in the town on the island back when people lived there (guess we know why no one's there now)... and then the current cast started dying in the same way one by one (⁠゜⁠o⁠゜⁠; ).

So I changed the grade to give it a full 3 stars for scary because the one bad end felt like it was designed to give me specifically a panic attack lmao I didn't get a panic attack cause I took breaks tho \ o /. It's one where Azuma accidentally kilks someone in self defense and becomes hyper paranoid that everyone thinks he is guilty of the other murders (which is also influenced by his childhood abuse).

In the end of it he's like "how can I prove to Mistugi I'm not guilty? I can't stand for him to not trust me" and he kills himself as a way to prove to Mistugi his innocence and its like wow that's so crazy I wonder what it's like to feel like you need to do that : )
